OUR PHILOSOPHY
As a fitness professional for more than 20 years, I have embraced a basic philosophy of approach for everything I do, whether it's personal training, cardio class instruction, or classes for Parkinson's patients and cancer survivors.
To be healthy and fit requires regular physical activity. We hear it from our doctors at every office visit. We hear it on the news, as study after study points to the need for regular exercise being essential for quality of life, for long life, so you can be there for everyone in your life.
But it also requires a deeper commitment - a whole-body approach to wellness. It‘s a recognition that exercise alone is not enough. Good nutrition is vitally important, which reflects conscious decisions about what you eat, and how much you eat. And to maintain a long-term commitment to both exercise and good nutrition, you must get your head in the game. You need a mindset where you’re driven to maintain a regular exercise regimen and good nutrition over the long term. Starting and stopping exercise, and diets of the month, are not long-term commitments to being healthy and fit.
Fitness is a journey worth taking. It shouldn't be a question of when I have time or if I want to exercise. Exercise is an absolute necessity of life. EXERCISE IS LIFE!
The ultimate goal for each individual should be to discover a personal whole-body equilibrium that enables a full and meaningful life, navigating daily stresses and achieving a sustainable quality of life throughout one's journey.
The goal for each of us should be to find a personal whole-body equilibrium that allows us to live our lives to the fullest, deal with the day-to-day stresses that we all endure, and attain a quality of life that we can sustain throughout our lives.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
As a cardiologist specializing in cardiac care for athletes, heart failure patients, and cancer survivors, I can't stress enough the importance of physical activity to promote health and wellness for every one of us.
Wherever you are in your journey back to health, exercise will help give you strength, fitness, and confidence to feel better mentally and physically.
And as a client of Sabine's, I can personally vouch for how positively her training program impacts everyone that she trains.
Lili A. Barouch, MD, FACC, FAHA
I was diagnosed with cancer in 2022. It was tough news and required medical interventions that would save my life but likely hurt my body.
With Sabine’s careful coaching and therapy, I quickly found that healing begins with movement! The joint pain and inflammation responded so quickly to the movement that Sabine so expertly brought back to my body. Exercise was targeted to my needs and time passed in a flash as we moved to music in both 1-on-1 therapy sessions and the wonderful boxing classes. Sabine made a huge difference in a remarkably short time by bringing her unique style of joyful movement, high-energy music, and a wonderful community back into my day.
After facing cancer, my first priority for healing was to understand how mind, body, and spirit are intertwined for health. Sabine’s focus on targeting movement to build body strength and fitness while challenging the mind with sequences, patterns, healing opportunities, integrating her gentle spirit and sharing her large community of fellow seekers of abundant good health. Her community includes those looking for fitness with many of us who are healing from significant health challenges like cancer and Parkinson’s disease. My husband has also been one of Sabine’s faithful community throughout his struggle with Parkinson’s and attributes his continued mobility and fitness to the healing movement of Sabine’s therapeutic workouts.

We love Sabine’s Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s class! My husband is a Parkinson’s patient and we were fortunate enough to find Sabine’s class, and we now both participate in the class together.
She keeps us moving to great music and makes it fun by incorporating boxing moves, light weights, balance, core, and cardio, so we get an overall body workout! Sabine is very compassionate and caring and is passionate about keeping us healthy and modifies moves to fit all levels as well as any injuries you might have. It’s a great group and we have made some great friends!

Sabine and her class has given me the confidence to keep moving. Her patient and kind method is always reassuring.
She is invested in this program and in her "clients" friends. I am so appreciative of Rock Steady and Sabine!
What a delight to have found Sabine Evans with her many years of teaching experience and her ability to motivate us in her Rock Steady Parkinson’s program. Her inspiration, energy, and concerns for all her participants is so welcomed and appreciated.
The program offers a range of exercises, some weights, and boxing moves that keep you moving, without getting bored. You actually feel the benefits right after the class. Not only is it a good class but there is a wonderful connection among all the participants.
